Riskgaming Alpha Test this Thursday at 5pm in NYC
Laurence Pevsner has been hard at work on a new Riskgaming scenario titled Flagship Down, which explores the politics and economics of the modern research university. It’s ready for alpha testing, and we’d love to have you join us.
Read more about the scenario on the RSVP page. It’ll be hosted in Flatiron, Manhattan this Thursday, March 19, from 5–8pm ET. We have space for up to 10, so please join if you can make it.
Policy Breakfast in DC on Wednesday March 25: “Defense Industrial Policy Done Right”
In association with the Manhattan Institute and as part of the Hill & Valley Forum festivities, I’ll be co-hosting a panel discussing how the federal government can buy and deploy new technology faster — and what that would mean for rebuilding the defense industrial base.
We’ll discuss what it takes to get best-in-class technology into the field using the tools DoD already has — and what has to change for DoD to act like a serious customer. We’ll also examine how preferences and add-on requirements shape who can compete, how fast capability is deployed, and whether they strengthen the industrial base or distract from mission needs.
8:00–9:30am ET near the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, March 25.
FEATURING:
Reihan Salam, President, Manhattan Institute, Moderator
Judge Glock, Director of Research, Manhattan Institute
Matt Babin, Head of Shipbuilding and Naval Programs, Palantir Technologies

If you want to join, just reply to this newsletter and I can send the RSVP link. We are quite full already, but I promise the breakfast will be fun if you can make it.
